The 100HE is a CNC tube bending machine built to bend mild steel tubes with a diameter of up to 100 mm. Like other machines in the Heavy series, this downsized version inherits the same high rigidity and performance. The bending head moves horizontally, maintaining maximum rigidity during heavy-duty processing, while the high vertical stroke maximises the number of bending levels that can accommodate existing tools. The bending head is small enough to allow the machine to complete complex tube geometries in one cycle, where they would normally require double bending directions. The machine has nine axes driven by absolutely digital motors with “Fully Electric” technology that are controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl. This technology ensures excellent bends, saves tremendous energy, reduces set-up/start-up time, and considerably minimises scrap. The “Tangent Boost” device ensures that the tube is thrust axially all the way into the slide/wiper-die area during the bending process, optimising the tube development and reducing the scrap even further. The high production rate, the ability to produce bends with CLR/DIA ratio even lower than 0.8, and the ability to thrust bends with variable radii make this machine particularly suitable for the automotive, aeronautical, plant design and installation, urban decoration, and naval sectors. The machine has a three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD touch screen. The operator communicates intuitively with the tube bending machine through the UII “User ISO Interface” software to program the machine, to simulate, and to optimise the bending programs. This machine is designed to be integrated into Smart Factory system. The CNC cutting system is available as an option.
