Tube bending machine with a fully automatic cycle

SMALL1 is a compact CNC tube bending machine with a completely automatic work cycle for aluminium tubes with a diameter of-up to 20 mm. On the same level of larger tube bending machines, the SMALL1 can simultaneously use several tools with different radii and clamping. The left or right bending direction can be reconfigured easily by the operator to fit production needs. The machine’s five axes are controlled by digital motors with Fully Electric technology managed by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl, while the machine’s clamps are electro-pneumatic. All this technology ensures quality, energy savings, minimal set-up/start up time, and scraps. Like other Small series machines, SMALL1 also features a high production speed and the possibility to incorporate a broad array of accessories for specific and unusual jobs. The efficiency of the machine is guaranteed by the dynamics of the plane positioner which limits component damage due to accidental collision. The ability to produce bends with CLR/DIA ratio even lower than 0.8 makes this machine particularly suitable for the automotive, aeronautical, and HVACR sectors. The operator can interact intuitively with the machine through the UII (User ISO Interface), a three-dimensional graphical software on a 19” LCD touch to program, simulate and optimise the bending programs. The SMALL1 is designed to integrate into Smart Factory system.
