CONCEPT 80 is the new tube bending machine designed by CRIPPA as a response to the specific needs of the exhaust pipe manufacturers. CONCEPT 80 offers an innovative solution based on the patented concept of a tool change integrated into the bending process of tubes with a diameter of up to 80 mm. Compared with other machines with an integrated cycle change in the market, CONCEPT 80 stands out for its speed, efficiency, and rigidity. The last feature is its strongest point as it produces extreme precision. CONCEPT80 can perform multistack and monoradius bends (the radius can be changed during set-up) and has a built-in, double-sided blade, in-cycle electrical cutting system. This machine has a tool change column with 4 positions adapted for both manual and automatic loading. The column enables the processing of complex tubes as if they had monostack bends, thus simplifying both the equipment and process simulation. To save costs, equipment parts can be reused and combined with other new parts to produce other products. The combination of the double-blade electrical cutting device and the tool change column makes it possible to cut on straight and contoured clamp dies during the same process, skipping trimming as the product leaves the machine. The blades’ position of the cutting unit can be easily adjusted with respect to the axis of curvature. CONCEPT 80’s configuration is ergonomically rapid, suitable for automated cells. This machine is controlled by Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl on a 19"-touchscreen control panel. Programming is done using the simplified UII (User ISO Interface) software. CONCEPT 80 can accommodate numerous optional accessories and can connect to CRIPPA I4.0 production control and performance system.
