Zero welds, maximum efficiency: CRIPPA’s HVAC breakthrough

From welded parts to one seamless tube component.

In the HVAC sector, producing stainless steel tubes for heat pumps requires precision, reliability, and process efficiency

The customer was looking for a solution to replace an existing production process based on turning, welding, bending, and additional welding operations with a more productive and cost-effective method, while maintaining the same final functionality.

The challenge: manufacturing a 25 mm stainless steel tube that was previously produced using separate welded parts.

With the CRIPPA S2086HF, the process was redefined.

Thanks to hydroforming technology, the customer was able to replace the welded components with deformation directly performed on the tube, obtaining the final part through a more integrated and efficient process.

The 5 steps forming process combines both traditional axial forming and hydroforming sequence on the same cycle.

The result?

  • One finished component

  • No welded joints

  • No material removal

  • Fewer handling steps

  • No welding quality controls

  • Lower production time and waste

  • Same final functionality, with a more efficient process

A concrete example of how CRIPPA technology helps simplify complex tube forming operations and improve production performance.
