Countless deformations for manifolds
SMI offers a family of dedicated rotational tube end forming machines for manifolds: BSR80+ , BSR108+ and SF-133.
These machines deform the tube end by means of a tool that creates friction by generating heat and deforming the material to be processed.
Thanks to the technical configuration of the tooling, the machine can adjust the deformation and process of a wide range of tubes using an extremely limited number of tools.
The series, thanks to the combination of two controlled and interpolated movements, can close the end of copper tubes in planar, dome, spherical end-closing, perform expansions, reductions, and, with specific tools, even perform Victaulic grooving and flanging.
In their basic configuration, these machines are used to machine copper tubes. However, the
accessories and specially developed modification kits also enable them to machine aluminum, K65 and Cu-Ni tubes.
With the quick-change kit, there can also be a reduced setup time for the clamping jaws as the diameter of the tube to be processed changes.
The machine interface is intuitive and equipped with icons that simplify operation for the operator.
